Directions by car:
Windermere is in the centre of the English Lake District and can be easily reached from the M6 junction 36 and by then following the A591.
Turn off the M6 motorway at junction 36 onto the A590 (A591) to Kendal & Windermere
Follow the dual carriageway to the large roundabout just outside Kendal. Do not follow the signs into Kendal, but carry on the A591 to Windermere. After passing the Windermere village sign stay on the main road (A591), ignoring the sign into the town centre, and we are about 300 metres on the left hand side just before the church.
By Rail:
The nearest mainline railway station is Oxenholme at Kendal. Windermere has its own station, it is linked to Oxenholme by an hourly train service and is only a few minutes walk away from the guest house.
